HOW YOU CAN HELP The Cedar Centre was established in the fields of Yvonne and Barry Clent’s own home and they have spent their own pension funding what has been established. They are not a commercial center and do not have access to any funding except what is donated by you, the public. The facility is run by one primary carer, Leonor, supported on odd occasions by voluntary helpers which enable her to take a day off.
You can help the Center in a number of ways... - Donate money, as always donating money supports the Center in a number of ways. This can be done safely and securely via PayPal, who accept all major credit and debit cards, use the DONATE button on this page.
The money goes solely to the feeding and care of the animals, including veterinary medication costs as our vet Dra Cristiane Lima donates her time and expertise.
- Shop for us, include any one of the following in your monthly shop and drop it at the Center or bring it to the Miranda do Corvo Carboot on the 1st Sunday of every month. The contributions we would most appreciate would be :

- The following may not fit into your shopping basket but we could use these if you have them or wish to purchase them for us.
2 meter wooden posts for fencing. Sheep fencing or similar materials. We may be able to collect large donations, contact us to arrange.
- Volunteer your time, We value the time that individuals donate to the care of the animals, however, as the Center is also our home we do ask that volunteers respect our privacy. If you have regular time available to be of assistance to us please contact us in the first instance via the form on this page outlining what you could help with, how frequently and on what days.
- Miranda do Corvo Carboot Sale - take out a stall for a small donation or come to support the stall holders, all of these contribute to the Center. For more details and pictures of the Mirada do Corvo Carboot click here.
- Sponsor an animal, we understand that many people have a number of animals themselves or perhaps do not have any facilities for them, but you can still help by sponsoring an animal. This would include the costs for feeding and caring for that animal each month while it is in our care.
